Application Action

Not Rated Yet

Overview

This page allows you to view and/or update information about actions that have occurred on an application or on a berth.  An action is anything that occurred on a particular date, which may have resulted in a fee or a change of application status.

Page Content

Action Type
- This indicates what type of action occurred.  The provider configures which actions are available using the Actions page.  When you select an action, wait a few seconds for the page to refresh, since there are different options available for each action.  For more information about the actions and their use, please view the Application Process, Wait List Management Process, and Berth Management Process pages.

Action Date - This indicates when the action occurred.

Effective Date - Actions may not be effective on the date they occur.  For example, an application might be approved retroactively (in which case the effective date would be BEFORE the action date), or might be approved in advance (in which case the effective date would be AFTER the action date).  If you leave this field blank, Online Mooring will assume that the effective date is the same as the action date.

When inserting actions in bulk, leave this field blank if you want Online Mooring to calculate the effective date based on the configuration rules.  If you want to override the dates calculated by the configuration rules, enter a value here.

Expiration Date - Some actions have a time period associated with them.  For example, someone might be added to the wait list for a year's time, or approved for a year's time, or might be allowed to submit a renew for four moths, etc.  The expiration date is the end of the time period.  Please note that if you don't specify a time, Online Mooring assumes midnight at the start of the day that you specify (so if you want a permit to expire at the end of the day on December 31st, enter January 1st, not December 31st).

When inserting actions in bulk, leave this field blank if you want Online Mooring to calculate the expiration date based on the configuration rules.  If you want to override the dates calculated by the configuration rules, enter a value here.

Fee - Some actions have a fee associated with them, such as application Submitted actions.  Enter the fee here (no currency symbols or commas, please).

When inserting actions in bulk, leave this field blank if you want Online Mooring to calculate the fee based on the configuration rules.  If you want to override the values calculated by the configuration rules, enter a value here.

Comments - You can enter comments for any action.  This can be anything that you want.  When applicants submit their application online, the Terms & Conditions that they accepted are put into the comments field of their Submitted action.
